Hey guys, finally getting my summer weekend schedule laid out...

As of right now, next weekend is my ONLY free weekend till after labor day!! No shit.

The 26th I'll be on Cape Cod. My best bud from Vt, now lives in MN, is visiting his In-laws on Cape Cod that weekend. I'm gonna visit him.... He's having some fucked up family issues, and now I'm his family! Plus his kids are too cute, and his son is my god-son/padoin learner. Gotta make sure his Lego skills are tip top!!

Hank et al, Kim and I are heading up to Baaaa Haaabah for the weekend of August 9th and 10th. Probably actually on the road on the 9th passing thru. The monday the 11th, we're having dinner/spending the night at my cousin Dave's in Gardiner (Gardner?) ME. Heading home on the 12th, my birthday. If anyone is along the way, maybe we can catch lunch or something?

Hank, I really wanted to bring the bike up for MEME, but just ain't in the cards this year. Hopefully next year we're not like buying a house or something... I think you should take comfornt knowing how many people who's attention you have brought this to! Sometimes it's hard to make time when you have crazy families, etc like I do. So you need a WHOLE year to actually be able to schedule it! Keep up the ambassadoring, and I bet next year you'll see a marked increase of attendance!
02 BA, lots of goodies...
I may live in NY, but I grew up in VT! I'm a local for this one...

MeMe Event Reservation Warning 070308

Postby hankspeed3 » Fri Jul 04, 2008 8:08 am

Heads up gang. Got this from Stackhouse from the "Events" board. Make sure you all follow up.

***********************
IMPORTANT!!!!!
If anyone has booked a room for the meet and has not heard back from the mountain via mail or charges on your credit card or whatever, CALL THEM!
It seems they've messed up some reservations. We are working on figuring it out but be sure to check. The following are some that I know have not been recorded and need to call.

Michael Piotti
Leo Spano
Jeff North
Nancy Walsh

I'm very sorry for this and I've let the mountain know I'm upset with it.
Thanks for your understanding,
Mike

Hank its burning me up I wished I lived closer cause I would be there just to have a beer with you and Brett and Mike. This ride sounds like a good time. I was sitting at the gas station yesterday and a young guy maybe 20 pulled up on a K75 with Maine plates I asked him about it and he said he rode down for the weekend at his college friends in Maryland then he was heading back North. Now thats a ride Maine to Southern Maryland and Back Monday shit I wish my old ass would handle that. The BMW must be easier on the ass then a Bonneville.

Three more days, then some great rides, great roads. Hell even the road to the top is a friggin blast. Can't wait to see everyone from BTB who is going.

Sadly, life is conspiring once again to scuttle my plans. There's just no way I'm going to be able to make it to MEME, once again. I think it's this time of year -- I just get so damn busy that I can never make it.

Sorry, Hank and Brett!
