Bill- here's how we could get to the Vanilla Bean ( I know where it is......). We could meet at Bliss Dairy in Attleboro?

http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ie=UT ... wloc=A&f=d

Todd, was this the route you were looking at to take us down to the Fairgrounds?

OK, for some bizarro reason ( probably my ID10T error) the link doesn't seem to show the route.....I think it was heading down 6 a ways towards East Hampton.

Hey Paula
We can figure out a route easy enough and I'm ok with meeting at Bliss.
Can you get in touch with Brian and Tim ?
I will get with the other guys and I will see if Peter /the guy with the old Triumph wants to go.

Hey Paula, glad you're still in the saddle! I'm not sure if I can make it, but it would certainly be a reasonable hop skip and jump from the ferry for me. I'll have to see how much work I get done on a book case before then (it's for a friend's baby shower at the end of the month). I'll play it by ear.

Yeah Paula, we can head across 244 and pick-up 198 south to we can connect with rte 6 then to 66 and on to 151 or whatever anyone else would like to do makes no difference to me as long as we get there before the beer runs out.

Hey Benny, take pictures of the bookcase and promise to have it finished by the time the baby learns to read. Any sooner and it will just end up as a place to store diapers and formula, LoL Hope you can make it.

Benny, I'm with Todd on the picture of the bookcase. The parents will be too sleep deprived to read to the baby for a couple years. Do try to make it!

I pm-ed with Tim- he's going to have to play it by ear, he's moving that weekend. Brian looks like he's in-he posted a thread over at BA.com.

Todd, take us a "pretty way" ! ( I know, I can be such a grrrrrrrrrl.... :) )

Well I took the bike out to the local car show/cruise night/weekly thing tonight. Good cheap fun, got my fix!

This book case is actually for the baby shower... Everyone is bringing books, and they are filling the shelves. The other ideas were a clothesline, then everyone brings clothes, or something like that. I like woodworking, so I pushed for this one. Oops! :) It's ok, I'm hoping we can find a weekend to have people over here. We'll see how the rest of that weekend goes. I may just go for it!

I'll most likely be moving into my new home that weekend and I don't think my wife will appreciate me taking a bike ride. If we get it all done maybe I can sneak out, but doubtful. If you have never been there it is a great 1 dayer!

When do you plan on meeting at the vanilla bean? I assume it will be some time on Sunday morning. Can I ride my BMW?

A pretty way......hmmm, let me think......Ok, I think I've got a good route but if we get lost and ramble around CT. for a while don't blame me. But hey, it's very difficult to get lost in CT. for too long so we'll make it eventually. I am a bit familiar with the fairgrounds area as the riding is quite good and I've been out there a number of times in the last couple of years. We can take in Gillett's Castle if everyones interested and I know of a couple good Italian style restaurants for after the event.

Benny, will ya quit typing and start sawing already. Wait, wait, I've got an idea; when everyone comes with all those books take some wood glue and make a book case out of them this way you won't have to finish the wooden one for a long time (no books to put on them) and you can make the run. Damn, I'm an f-n genius!

Drlapo, you can ride anything you want bro. Yeah, likely Sun. morn but figure Bill's crew will set the time. I'm going to check and see if I can get a time when the event starts.

I suggest that we need at the Bean around 10 a.m. and get a cup of their decent, but very expensive, coffee and be at the fairgrounds in time for lunch

Sounds good to me. Bill, that work for your peeps? I talked to one of the guys who puts the event on and he said that if you get there around 8:30--9:00am you get to see all the antique bikes being ridden in but I think that's way to early for what we're planning. Basically it goes from 10am to 4pm and the drawing for the giveaway bike is done between 3:30 and 4:00. You also must be present to win the bike. In the last 5 years only two people were present. Last year I was there when they had to pick another ticket because the person had left early.

Staying there to the end also gives the opportunity to see the antique bikes being ridden out of there which is very cool.

Hedge, hope to see ya there but understand if you can't make it. Do you know if anyone else from the Ugly Ass Monkey Gang is going?

That works for me, I still have to work things out with the rest of the crew.
It looks like about a 1 -1/2 hour ride for us from where we are planing on meeting.
I will keep you posted.

It looks like Seth/ Rockers CT. is planing a cookout at his place after the Britjam.
He says he lives just a few minutes from there.
All are welcome to go after if you want.

LMAO. Yep. Been down that Avenue at least a dozen times. Great package but nothing inside. Hope Paula doesn't get laid off. This economy is lame , Brothers and Sisters.

On another note: You east coast brothers and sisters have all the fun. I suppose Todd will have his dark chocolate fix. Beer & Chocolate you can't get much more Bavarian than that ! LMAO ! At any rate I'll see you guys again , no doubt !

Speed- My mother says, " Men are like busses, just wait and another will be right along." ;) ( Not being sexist, that analogy goes both ways, I know!)

Still no word about the layoff....we spoke to our Union rep and to the Union Prez, they're checking into the situation for us, so, for now- it's One Day At A Time and l'm letting tomorrow take care of itself.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to hang for the cookout- it will depend what my daughter needs that day- but I'm going to try, I've got atonement to make for having missed the Bash.
