I am heading the long way to Crozet Virginia this weekend. Hope to have a few more miles on my bike before the season ends.

Here's an idea. Ride it down to Birmingham. There is no season. You can leave it with Robin and I and fly back home and we will take care of it over the winter.

Don't listen to them, Tito. Head straight back to Vermont after the weekend and ride up to Gaspé with Justin and me. We're leaving Tuesday morning. :)

(I know, you have to work...)

Tito, I was just in Virginia and West Virginia. Did Skyline drive and rode all around the area. It's definetly as good as people say it is. Went west through CT. and NY. then down Pa. to Winchester VA. to hook up with my brother and a friend of his. Took 9 hours on the way down as I hit rain from Allentown on. Only took eight on the way back but went straight up 81 to Scranton then West on 84. Managed to do the ton on several occasions and once while in the rain just to see what it felt like. It felt ok on my face as it was already numb. I've been looking at full face helmets and it will be something to have for my next long ride. This weekends weather looks much better for doing a ride down there. Take care, Todd

Had a great time on my trip. Rode over 1,500 miles on mostly back roads. Wished I could had stayed a couple more days.

Yeah Tito, was impressed with VA. as far as a place to ride but you Green Mountain boys still have it all beat. I will say that the twists and turns on the Blue Ridge is something everyone should get to. It's not difficult at all to shed some floor board material on them. Hey, while I was in West VA. we went over to Waltons Mountain. Yeah, like the folks on the tv series. It's a real place with the original house and all. Ike Gotsies store is just down the road and the saw mill where the father worked is within a 1/4 mile from the house. I think thats where I got a nail stuck in my rear tire. They are redoing the cabinets in the kitchen and I turned around in the dirt driveway. Bits of old wood (likely with nails in some) are lying around here and there. It is a very slow leak and didn't even know it until I was within 40 miles from home. Once again, fix-a-flat to the rescue. Ok, you want the truth? I might have said something about Maryellen that was inappropriate considering I was on hallowed ground and that bad karma led to the nail in the tire. Hey, I was in my teens when this show was on and she was really hot for the time. Probably pissed the Grandma off. Oh well, will have to stop thinking out loud.
