If you look through the history of the United States the economy as a whole has thrived with Democrats in office and struggled under Republicans. Say what you will about Bill Clinton but he operated the country with a budget surplus. This is where someone usually brings up the hero of the Republican party Ronald Regan and the unprecedented economic growth bullshit. News for you, he got out while the getting was good, if you remember correctly the bottom fell out of his oh so fucking brilliant economic policies while George Bush Senior was in office. It's a pretty simple explanation as to why this happens. Republicans give tax cuts to the rich, big business and the idea is that big business spends less in taxes therefore they have more money to give to their workers and then those workers have more money to spend which in turn makes the economy stronger. Call it what ever you will, Trickle down economics, Reganomics, what ever, it's what Regan did, Bush Sr. did and Bush Jr. did and here's the news flash, IT DOESN'T FUCKING WORK! While in theory it sounds good, it gives workers more incentive to work harder to reap more benefits from richer employers blah blah blah. Simple fact is, rich people aren't rich because they give their money away, you give the rich more money, that's where it stops, the rich people have more money, end of story. The reason giving money to the poor works better is because when poor people have money they spend it, regardless of what it gets spent on, it gets spent so instead of that money starting at the top and staying there it starts at the bottom and works it's way up so that everyone gets a piece and we're all doing better. So help me, if 'm wrong I'll come to each and everyone of your houses and apologize in person and ask for your forgiveness, but I personally think that in 4 years this nation will be economically stronger and each and every one of us will be doing a lot better than we are now. But until we know who was right one way or the other the best thing the people of this nation can do is support our president and quit bitching about the outcome of the election. There's nothing you can do to change it, the people have spoken.
