It's hard to picture mellow in turmoil but I know it seeks us out on some occasions no matter how hard we try to ignore it. It's a shame he lives so far away. He is a great guy.

Glad to hear he's ok. I remember how the event suddenly seemed so real once he started out.

My First Rally!

Postby sevy » Wed Feb 11, 2009 10:23 pm

I was so excited to see this last year, but could not make the weekend. I will be bringing two friends on Harleys (yes, they're housebroken- er, well, mostly) and all 3 of us will be camping Friday night and Saturday night. I did ride part of your Gap ride last summer, and the food at Rosie's was great. Vermont is definitely a great location for some nice relaxed riding. This will be my first motorcycle rally ever, and I am definitely looking forward to it. 50 degrees today, and the snow is melting:)

Welcome Sevy and I guess we'll see ya all there. Ah, your from the Adirondacks. Year before last myself, brother, father; and a couple bro's stayed at a stone house called the Miller homestead in Harkness. Rode all around the Adirondacks with a friend from Saranac during the day and spent evenings grillin and drinking mass quantities of beer. Good times.

Planning...camping....

Postby WhistlingFool » Sun Mar 15, 2009 11:08 pm

How can I resist!

I was leaving on Tuesday the 2nd for a 2 month road trip.... I guess I will have to leave a few days early!

Others riding over from Maine?

Possible to share a Campsite?

Is there a list of instructions on what I need to do to attend... from what I can tell, it is get a room or campsite and show up.. and maybe tell someone I want a ride from the campground to a lodge to revel more??

thanks for the help

Jason, all you have to do is show up. The BTB is a pretty informal affair, no admission charges or anything. And since you'll be camping, you don't need to worry about requesting a ride -- that's only relevant to people staying in town who want to come party with us at the campground on Friday night.

Since there was such a great deal of warmth from the rockers attempt at increasing global warming with their bon fire last year i will be camping again. I just hope that we don't get too many random commets from the caretakers again. Or maybe we all should say we are from new york!
